CHECK OUT OUR SISTER FESTIVAL - SOMMO!

Inclusion

EVERYONE’S WELCOME AT CBMF.
SIMPLE AS THAT!

To help create a safe and inclusive festival culture, please show respect for everyone in attendance. We take the safety of all fans, volunteers, artists, and staff very seriously. Harmful and offensive behaviour such as verbal abuse, intimidation, vandalism, theft, harassment or sexual harassment, will not be tolerated. Remember that all our attendees are here for one main reason: to enjoy the festival.

With this in mind, do not make assumptions about anyone based on their appearance or perceived background. We do not tolerate any form of harassment or discrimination including racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, ableism, or cultural appropriation. Anyone found to be in violation of these policies or in breach of our Code of Conduct is subject to immediate removal from festival grounds.

SAFE SPACE TENT:
If you need non-judgmental support, safety planning, info on consent, and a calm space please visit the onsite Safe Space tent. Ripple Effect is a project dedicated to reducing sexual assault and gender-based violence within the PEI music industry and beyond. Ripple Effect is onsite to support a safer, more fun festival experience for everyone. You can find our volunteers wearing orange inside the tent located beside medical to the left of the main entrance gate. The team will be onsite daily from 2:30pm – 8:00pm.

Things the Ripple Effect Team can help with:
• Offering a calm, low-stimulation space if you need a break
• Supporting folks who’ve experienced harassment, discomfort, or boundary-crossing
• Talking through a situation and helping you create a safety plan
• Walking you to another part of the site if you’re feeling unsafe or overwhelmed
• Offering non-judgmental emotional support
• Providing harm reduction supplies and resources
• Helping connect you to medical, security, or other supports when needed
• Offering consent education and bystander tips
• Supporting people impacted by unsafe or coercive behaviour

Things that are outside of the role of this team:
• Providing medical care (but we can connect you to medics!) or a place to sleep
• Physically intervening in violent situations
• Escorting or removing people from the festival grounds
• Offering law enforcement or security services
• Acting as a long-term support or counselling service (but we’ll offer referrals!)

Have fun, be mindful, and remember that everyone deserves safety and respect.
